Dr. Thomas Trinkner Please describe the goals of your newsletter program to our readers. My newsletter needs to routinely get inside patients’ homes to offer updates on current trends in dentistry. This important vehicle lets patients know about my practice successes.

How does PNP facilitate your program to help you achieve your goals? PNP allows me to expand on concepts that may differ from what their Library offers. I customize my newsletters to introduce and emphasize my focus. The ease with which PNP writers assimilate ideas that are intrinsic to my philosophy is fundamental.

What information do you feel practices should include to attract attention? What have you found most successful? It’s imperative to include succinct information about the wide access to new directions, to highlight commitment to education and excellence.
I include photos of actual patients to illustrate skills – an extension of my professional and personal life. Highlighting patients compounds their sense of accomplishment and generates word of mouth.

How would you recommend getting staff involved in promoting the newsletter? Have staff write articles. Spotlight skillful staff. More importantly, PNP does such a good job with layout that the newsletter markets itself. It’s that easy! The entire package does it’s own work. It connects with patients!

Any overall marketing, practice, or newsletter tips? The biggest tip? Write your own articles and publish your own photos! It’s your clinical work! When a patient attends their “celebration appointment,“ take advantage of the hype. Give them extra newsletters to distribute They’re happy, they’ve paid their account, and most importantly, they believe in you. What a great opportunity!

Having worked with PNP as both a client and contributor, what are your impressions about the company and their staff? You guys have been great. I’ve had all good experiences. Your program is easy, comprehensive, flexible, and everyone is very nice. Organized too. Absolutely!

I wouldn’t have PNP publish my newsletters if it wasn’t all of these things.

Any other comments to share about your newsletter program? The first time I used PNP, it was amazing how many people commented about the finished product. It was the first newsletter I ever did in twenty years of practicing. My first-time experience was good, and it continues to be good. PNP’s challenge is to evolve the product, and continue the informative nature … I believe they’re up to it!
