The enclosed Neighborhood Newsletter sample is Dr. Malone’s Fall 2005 edition: an excellent example of a successfully customized and personalized
newsletter that provides recipients with actual success stories … which allows them to imagine what Dr. Malone could do for their smile … which encourages them to pick up the phone and call. Please talk with your Account Manager – your newsletter expert – about how you can heighten the effectiveness of your newsletters through customization!

Please describe the goals of your Neighborhood Newsletter. Our office targets residents in our area in the $75,000-and-above income level. Our goal is to market to people who want, and can afford, elective cosmetic dentistry.

How does PNP facilitate your program, helping you achieve goals? PNP works with us to help develop a totally customized newsletter just for our office. Our account manager helps put the photographs and articles together, so the finished result reflects our office personality.

What type of newsletter information do you feel dental practices should include in their newsletter to attract readers’ attention? Since our practice is primarily cosmetically oriented, we always include plenty of before & afters and up-to-date information on the latest in cosmetic dentistry.

What content have you found to be most successful, generating the best results? Because we always include information about Zoom!, Invisalign, and porcelain veneers, we have had calls asking for more information.

How do you use the newsletter within your practice? We are mainly using the newsletter to promote our practice to new patients.
Newsletter

Any marketing, practice, or newsletter tips for our readers? I like the Neighborhood Newsletter because it comes across more like a public relations piece than advertising. In the last issue, we included an article about my recent lecture in New Zealand. We also released the same article to all the local news media and generated a significant amount of positive public awareness.

Having worked with PNP, what are your general impressions about the company and its staff? I am pleased to say that my experience with Patient News Publishing has been very positive. In today’s world, it’s unusual to find a company that actually follows through on promises and commitments, but PNP has delivered.
