Our GREEN Team goes beyond our comprehensive reduce/reuse/recycle/ program and impacts all aspects of our internal and external processes. Employees are encouraged to submit their ideas, and we monitor trends and best practices for more environmentally friendly business practices. One of our core values is dedicated to the environment, and each year Patient News plants approximately 4,000-5,000 trees, replacing more than we consume.

FSC^® Certification

Patient News is proud to offer FSC certified products. We can do this because we have successfully completed the rigorous certification process by the Forest Stewardship Council®, meeting their scrupulous international standards. This means that we support responsible environmental practices to trace the chain of custody of the paper we use from the original forest site through every single step to consumer point-of-purchase. “Our clients are helping to make a measurable contribution to protecting our forests, wildlife, and water. We are proud that they can benefit from value-added integrity and product quality. The FSC logo on every client newsletter and postcard can only create a stronger reputation and brand image with their patients and their communities as well,” says Karen Galley, President. All of the paper we use at Patient News is certified to ensure forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically viable way. We also recycle our printing plates, buy in bulk to reduce packaging waste and clean with environmentally friendly products. By agreeing to purchase only FSC-certified paper and other products, Patient News has guaranteed its employees and community, as well as clients, that we are using paper products purchased only from organizations that are equally committed to responsible forest management.
